About
Raised in the Pee Dee area of South Carolina, Paula always had an interest in art, mainly sketching and drawing. Her high school biology teacher recognized her talent and gifted her a colored pencil set which set her on her journey. She is mostly self-taught in watercolors and colored pencil and prefers the realistic style. Paula began displaying her art in 2017 and recently won second place in the Camden Visual Arts Society Spring 2022 show.
Her favorite subjects include botanicals, birds, landscapes, still lifes, and animal portraits. She especially enjoys South Carolina subjects.
As she travels, she photographs topics of interest that often end up as favorite paintings.
Her art is reproduced as greeting cards and note cards for all occasions. Paula also accepts commissions.
