Laura Kane
I create unique and giftable Pebble Art pieces using smooth river pebbles and colorful sea glass. Themes include: family, life events, and special interests. These pieces come in box frames ready to be displayed.
I have been the owner of a successful painted rocks shop on Etsy called Alleluia Rocks for 9 years (https://alleluiarocks.etsy.com). In the shop, you can find my Pebble Art pieces if you want personalization and customization. Names, dates, and short phrases can be added to any piece. You will also find a large variety of painted rocks to commemorate significant life events.

About
Laura Kane is the artist and creator behind Alleluia Rocks, a thriving Etsy shop she has owned and operated for over nine years. Through her work, she transforms simple stones into meaningful pieces of art, blending creativity with intention to create hand-painted rocks that inspire, comfort, and tell a story.
With a background as a medical librarian spanning more than three decades, Laura brings a deep appreciation for detail, clarity, and thoughtful design into her artistic practice. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a successful and recognizable brand, known for its carefully crafted designs and approachable, step-by-step artistry.
Laura specializes in creating both finished painted rocks and instructional materials, including tutorials and books that empower others to explore rock painting for themselves. Her work often reflects themes of encouragement, faith, learning, and everyday beauty, making her pieces popular as gifts, teaching tools, and personal keepsakes.
Through Alleluia Rocks, Laura has built a loyal customer base and a reputation for quality, creativity, and consistency. She continues to expand her offerings while staying true to her mission: making art accessible, meaningful, and joyful—one rock at a time.

Art Training
I attended Davidson Fine Arts Magnet High School. There, I focused on Mixed Media arts. Though my college degrees are in Spanish and Library & Information Science, I have always continued my art education through community learning opportunities.
Inspirations & Influences
I am influenced by miminalist techniques.
Awards & Recognition
In 1999 I won first place in the "Mixed Media" category of the South Carolina State Fair.
A Little More About Me
As a "military brat" I have lived in Germany and Italy. My mother is Italian, and I speak the language fluently (I visit Italy as often as I can!). I am currently retired and enjoy playing tennis and pickleball. My husband and I have three sons, one of whom has autism. I am an advocate for nonspeaking autistics and am involved in promoting the Spellers Method to help nonspeakers communicate their amazing thoughts.
Goals at Camden Art Shoppes
My goal at CAS is to have my artwork seen by the local communities. I am also excited to meet other local artists and to become involved in events sponsored by CAS.
