Glenn Landrum is from Alabama and enlisted in the USMC right out of HS. He completed a career in USMC and worked in manufacturing after retiring from service. Following an auto accident in 2020, he discovered painting. He started out watching Bob Ross videos/ tutorials and later migrated to Acrylic, still dabbling in both. Glenn’s style is impressionistic and most of his work includes landscapes, seascapes, etc.
“Painting relaxes me and keeps me engaged.”
Mediums, Techniques, Genres
Acrylic, oil, water paintings. Wine bottle lamps (w/ wicks), and others
Teaching
I haven’t to this point, but would be glad to work with anyone, although I do not have certifications. I would entertain any requests.
Art Training
All self taught through video tutorials and lessons on internet.
Inspirations and Influences
At one time, I would have said T. Kincaid and I still love his work, but my style is not the same. I love the loose, bold, impressionistic work of Jed Dorsey.
Other (Family, Hobbies, Places Lived)
Spending time with Grandchildren. In the past, I played basketball, I ran, and lifted weights. I still do work out but at a much less intense level.
