Robin Houston is a South Carolina-based visual artist working primarily in acrylics, with additional exploration in watercolor, oils, and mixed media. A Columbia, South Carolina native, she has resided in Pageland, South Carolina for nearly four decades, where her community and faith influence her creative practice. Robin is a member of the Crooked Creek Art Leaque in Chapin, SC.
Self-taught and committed to continual growth, Robin refines her work through ongoing study and inspiration drawn from established artists. Her paintings often reflect themes of hope, meaning, and quiet reflection expressed through layered composition, expressive color, and thoughtful detail.
Robin’s work is held in private collections across the United States, and she accepts commissioned work. She recently won the Musical Break Out Award at the 31st Annual Crooked Creek Art League Juried Show and she also won second place in the Camden Art Shoppe’s Avian art show. Her art has been featured in both private and public spaces, including Lilfred's Restaurant in Rembert, South Carolina, and a painted park bench commissioned by the town of Pageland. She has also contributed artwork to numerous charitable fundraisers.
