Pine Needle Basketry is an old skill that has again become popular with crafters in recent years. South Carolina is a great place for pine needle basketry, as we are right in the middle of the Southeast’s belt of longleaf pines.

Janice Phillips has been making pine needle baskets for nearly 5 years, adding artistic vision and whimsy to her skilled work. She will be teaching a 5-hour basic pine needle basketry class (with a break for lunch) at the Camden Art Shoppes at 1011 Broad Street, Camden, SC.
